The handmade story and the maker’s notes on quiet contemplation of slow living, the warmth of the kiln and the story infused into every curve. The beautiful imperfections and why no two pieces are ever truly the same...

Every time I'm hand-building an idea to life, I'm reminded that Life much like clay requires a gentle touch, patience and the willingness to start. It's about truly seeing truly listening and making an effort to make a life by hand. I've put together The Potter's Edit: a little collection of thoughts on how working with clay has helped me become more grateful. "A grateful heart always finds something to smile about", is my favourite take away. This is a zine born from the quiet moments at the studio table. It is a reflection on the intersection of clay and life -  exploring how the process of clay paired with mindfulness teaches us about resilience, connection and the art of noticing the small things. This isn't about pottery, it's about the "internal centering" that happens when we ground ourselves enough to create something from earth. Because this zine is a celebration of slow made, I have produced a very limited run of physical copies. Each copy has 8 leaves and feels like a piece from the studio you can hold in your hands. THIS IS A PHYSICAL VERSION.
